If you are a library patron using the HistoryGeo.com for Libraries service, nearly all the features you have access to are identical to those of a regular account-holder. There are, however, a few key differences that need to be understood.
First, library users cannot create new Custom Markers, but they are able to view them. Instead of picking and choosing what types of markers they want to make visible with the "Marker Visibility Options" window, any Custom Markers that are made public by our regular users may still be viewed by library users as long as the "Show Markers" option is checked near the top left of the Viewer.
The other major difference for libraries is that any Migrations and Snapshots that they create are only temporary unless an administrator within the library makes them permanent. Unless a Snapshot or Migration is made a permanent part of the library's account, then it will only be available during the day on which it was created.
Keep these differences in mind while reading our other knowledgebase articles or watching our instructional videos.
