RECENT IMPROVEMENTS TO THE HISTORYGEO VIEWER:
January 9, 2012:
From now on, subscribers don't have to worry about Custom Map Collections. If you subscribe, you get access to the entire HistoryGeo Map Library!
December 1, 2011:
Added the ability to edit your existing custom markers.
Dramatically streamlined the process of creating markers by redesigning the "Create Custom Marker" window.
Increased the number of attachments allowed per marker. Users can now add up to 10 of each attachment type (images, snapshots, web links)
November 1, 2011:
New options available in the Search Tab:
Search for maps by name.
Find maps from the HistoryGeo Map Library that contain specific Cemeteries or Populated Places.
Locate Cemeteries and Populated Places from our database in Google Maps®.
October 21, 2011:
In the Map Chooser, you now have the option of seeing only the maps you have added to your Custom Map Collection.
Snapshot names and descriptions are now editable.
Custom markers that you have added can now be moved or deleted.
From September 30, 2011 through October 2011:
Additions to your Map Collection can now be fully managed in the Map Viewer (by clicking "Add" while in the "View Map List" area) without you having to return to the web-site.
Similarly, details about any given map can be gained from within the Map Viewer (by clicking "View" while in the "View Map List" area) without you having to return
to the web-site.
Family Maps/Patent Maps: multi-patentee group-listings (when more than 1 person acquires land in a single patent) are available by selecting a person in the Map Contents area, then clicking on the "Show Info for Current Selection" button at the bottom.
Texas Land Survey Maps: complete details gleaned from the Texas GLO about any given survey can be displayed by selecting a person in the Map Contents area,
then clicking on the "Show Info for Current Selection" button at the bottom.
